THE STORY

I had rather horrible allergies, asthma, and colds every winter into my teens.

I used inhalers and all sorts of drugs and 'meds.'

Then 'the Karate Kid'  came out and I joined the ranks of the martial arts.

Training in the woods- especially practicing breathing exercises- was my favorite activity.

I started studying about medicinal plants, and gathering and taking my own remedies.

Radical changes in diet followed.

All the meanwhile, I took part in sundry aspects of the arts, with an eye to self-inquiry.

And before you know it, at the end of my teens the diseases of my youth were fully gone!

This was about twenty years ago and quite a bit else happened in the story since then...

THE WORK

My hands have been trained for over twenty years, and  can feel, to an often startling extent, what is not right.

So we often begin your health rectification, manually.  Hands on pressure point treatment.

This is hard labor, intuitive, creative, and fully Torah-based.

With all our patients we work towards a complete cure of whatever situation they are living with. 

We move towards this through the highest and deepest integrated network of care and help.

We are associated with MD's, ND's, Clinical Herbalists, and Osteopaths...for starters. 

In reality our network is quite far reaching.

WHY PRACTICE THIS METHOD INSTEAD OF THE 10,000 OTHER METHODS and STYLES

 
 After much of a lifetime of researching various world health and therapy systems, we have created this Method through a rigorous distilling process.

The process has included a vigorous application of Jewish Law in determing which aspects of the world health movements are good for all.

(Contrary to common belief, Jewish Law has aspects that are essential for all people.)


The following list in no way endorses any of these styles. 

On the contrary we are making a distinction.

We have no reservations in declaring that many of the following systems are completely problematic in terms of how they are presented.


Simultaneously we are paying tribute to the good in the following movements by incorporating them in our our Method.


This system has been influenced and developed in part from the following movements:



1- Movement   (Contact Improvisation, Feldenkreis Technique, Alexander Technique, Modern Dance, Ballet, African Dance, Butoh)

2- Martial Arts  (Shotokan Karate, Kickboxing, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Capoeira, Chi Gung, T'ai Chi Chuan, Shintaido, Bushido)

3- Indian traditions (Yoga, Chanting, Ayurvedic medicine)

4- Chinese traditions (Acupuncture and Acupressure, Taoist practices, the five schools of Chinese Buddhism)

5- Performance Work (Theatre Training, Slam Poetry, Voice Training, Creative Writing)

6- Holistic Medicine (Osteopathy, Chiropractic, Homeopathy, Nutrition, Exercise Science)

7- Bodywork  (Masunaga Shiatsu, Trager, Cranio-Sacral, Zero Balancing, Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, "Energy Work")

8- Western Medicine (Psychotherapy, General Medicine)

9- other World Mystical Traditions (esoteric SIkhism, Sufi Islam, Hinduism and Vedanta, the Desert Fathers, Balinese Shamanism)

So we have spent the last twenty years integrating this material and the last six years running our 'product' under the illuminating scrutinization of Jewish Law.

(If Jewish Law makes no sense to you, don't worry.  

 If you get into the practice we are confident you will see the Geltman Method prove itself regardless.)


In other words, we are saying without bashfulness, if you have any draw towards any of the above systems, please give our Method a try instead. 


We are confident that you will see for yourself that you find what you were looking for in these other places.


Minus much of the hype, cultishness, impropriety, brazenness etc etc...that mars much of these worlds.


We are presenting the Geltman Method to save you a lot of trouble.


And all in all, we pay tribute wholly and soley to the Most High,

the one and only Hashem Master of the Universe whose Torah is truly the ulitmate system

that isn't really a system because it is the bedrock of all things,

or more truthfully the center of all things.

Please pardon our enthusiasm if it rubs you the wrong way.

Why not forget about it and practice and study the Geltman Method instead....
